A team of highly dedicated cadets interested in the sharpness and precision developed by close order drill and the manual of arms. They represent the unit in parades, ceremonies, and competitions with other JROTC units.
Drill in NJROTC is designed to provide uniformity and standardization. Drill allows cadets to increase confidence, readiness, and high standards of military bearing and appearance.

Color Guard presents the Colors(flags) at parades, school sporting events, and other community ceremonies, as well as competitions against other JROTC units.

Unarmed consists of 14 or more cadets. 12 or more in the platoon, 1 guide, and 1 platoon commander.

Armed drill consists of 14 or more cadets in the platoon. 12 or more that are formed are armed with a Rifle, 1 guide, and the commander is armed with a sword or rifle.

EXHIBITION
DRILL
Exhibition drill is freestyle. There are no limits to commands. Restrictions in commands that weren't authorized in armed or unarmed are authorized in this type of drill. Extra commands add more flair to the platoon in the commands they execute.
